Abstract:
The proposed data collection will use a stated-preference survey to ask people about their willingness to pay to reduce risk of the health impacts of foodborne illnesses. The survey will be conducted on a representative sample of the U.S. population. The purpose of the survey is to provide a national average estimate. This estimate will improve the accuracy and completeness of USDA Economic Research Service’s cost of foodborne illness data product.
