Short Statement: This submission is a revision of a currently approved information collection related to a proposed rule. This information collection is currently approved with 391,815 responses, 462,724 burden hours, and $10,000 in start-up costs related to changes that SFSP operators need to make to their menus. FNS expects that the proposed rule, "Serious Deficiency Process in the Child and Adult Care Food Program and Summer Food Service Program (RIN 0584-AE83), which will extend the serious deficiency process currently used in the Child and Adult Care Food Program to the Summer Food Service Program, will increase the responses and burden hours for this collection. The proposed rule will add reporting, recordkeeping, and public disclosure requirements to this collection and is expected to increase the burden by 12,833 responses and 9,695 burden hours due to a program change. The proposed rule will not add or otherwise impact the capital, start-up, operation, and maintenance costs for this collection. As a result of this proposed rule, FNS estimates that the burden for this collection will be 404,648 responses, 472,419 burden hours, and $10,000 in capital, start-up, operation, and maintenance costs.
