Abstract:
States choosing to operate OSHA-approved State plans must provide information to document that their programs are "at least as effective" as the Federal OSHA program. In order to obtain and maintain State Plan approval, a State must submit various documents to OSHA describing its program structure and operation, including any modifications thereto as they occur, in accordance with the identified regulations.

Short Statement:
The agency is requesting an adjustment increase in burden of 316 hours going from 11,055 to 11,371 hours. This increase is due to the modifications made to the number of CASPAs and State Plan changes to depict more realistically the current trends in these numbers. The developmental of this process is necessary for some states like Maine, Massachusetts, and Illinois.
