Abstract:
Non-Timber forest products are plants, mushrooms and plant or tree derived goods like nuts, boughs, sap, and leaves that are harvested for use as food, medicine and other purposes. The Forest Service is seeking approval to collect information from the public who harvest non-timber forest products.

There are no program changes or adjustments, and the burden did not change from last renewal. The previously reported burden hours were an administrative error since the estimate of 276 hours was for one year only. Since this is a generic ICR, the burden hours should have been reported for the entire three-year cycle. The update to a burden of 828 hours is reflective of the entire three-year cycle for this generic ICR.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
