Abstract:
This is a renewal of a long-standing data series. The information collected from this request provides data to estimate amount of food in Nation's refrigerated facilities and occupancy level of coolers and freezer rooms. The most important data component is estimating total food supplies which contribute to orderly marketing and price stability.

The new burden hour total of 5,145 is 115 hours above the previous burden of 5,069 hours. The increase is due to the normal adjustment for the data rotation cycle. The Cold Storage Capacity survey is conducted every other year (odd numbered years). In this renewal cycle the survey will be conducted twice, where in the previous approval it was only conducted once.

On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that the collection of information encompassed by this request complies with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR 1320.8(b)(3).
