Short Statement: EOIR received less forms during the past three years and transitioned to complete electronic maintenance of program records, which eliminated government printing costs. Accordingly, there was an observed decrease in the estimated public hour burden and estimated government cost burden compared to previous years. The maximum annual cost burden changed due to changed cost calculation methods by the agency; previously, the agency did not factor in printing and postage costs for the public.
