Short Statement: The estimated burden includes an adjustment of $1,990.05. Over the three years since the previous burden was quantified, the Office of Alternative Dispute Resolution has provided significant training and technical assistance to Ombudsmen to support their provision of ADR services to national laboratories, industry, and the public. As a result of this assistance, as well as the efforts of DOE’s Office of Technology Transitions to prioritize and support the work of the Ombudsmen, the Ombudsmen have significantly increased the volume of ADR services that they provide to their stakeholders. This increased provision of services has resulted in a greater amount of information upon which to report and consequently increased the time dedicated to reporting by the Ombudsmen. Additionally, as the Ombudsmen roles have developed, the compensation of the individuals serving in these capacities has increased.
