Short Statement: The annual number of responses to Form N-CSR have decreased from 29,308 to 26,174. The annual time burden has decreased from 228,037 to 202,306. The external cost burden has decreased from $6,129,524 to $5,470,366. The annual cost to the Federal government has decreased from $29 million to $805,577. The reasons for the changes in burden are a result of a decrease in the number of funds, a revision in the method by which staff calculates hourly rates, and a modernization to the methodology used to calculate the cost to the Federal government.
