Short Statement: The Department estimates that it will receive 20 applications annually from 20 Applicants. This is a decrease from the number DOE estimated in its 2022 extension request. DOE has decreased its estimate for this ICR extension because of a reduction in the program’s appropriation levels. DOE’s estimate of 132.5 hours per Applicant per response (loan application) remains the same as estimated to OMB in connection with the 2022 extension as described above.
