Short Statement: Adjustment: For Form 5498, the estimated number of filers increased by 11,690,467, based on updated IRS filing projections. This resulted in an increase of 4,793,091 burden hours. Program Change: This submission adds Form 5498-TA, to the existing information collection under OMB Control Number 1545-0747 to implement the reporting requirements established by Public Law 119-21, section 70204, and IRC section 530A(i). This addition contributes 45,000,000 respondents and 7,650,000 annual burden hours.
