Short Statement: The estimated hourly burden associated with rule 30e 1 has decreased from 1,738,428 hours to 1,437,523 (a decrease of 300,905 hours). The estimated cost burden associated with rule 30e 1 has increased from $155,164,791 to $174,614,292 (an increase of $19,449,501). The decrease in hours is due to a decrease in the number of funds subject to the rule and the increase in cost is due to a change in methodology in calculated wage rates as well as rising wages generally. Also, staff estimates that the total annual external cost burden would be $174,614,292, which would represent an estimated annual increase of $19,449,501 over the current burden estimates
