Short Statement: In 2023, the Department calculated an initial burden for institutions that reflected 200 additional hours to review requirements, update financial aid information systems, and administer the new FWS wage data reporting requirements, as implemented by the FAFSA Simplification Act amendments to the HEA. With this extension we are now removing those additional hours from the calculation as the reporting requirements have been in effect and unchanged since 2024.
