Short Statement: We estimate that the annual aggregate burden estimate for Form ADV (Parts 1, 2 and 3) for all RIAs and ERAs is 251,851.53 hours per year, with an internal cost estimate of $138,014,638.44. This represents an aggregate increase of 4,742.60 hours and $56,715,800.47 in the internal cost estimate from the currently approved annual aggregate burden estimates. The aggregate annual estimated external cost burden of $23,547,079.14 represents an increase of $2,402,527.36 from the previously approved estimate of $21,144,551.78. The increase in hourly burden is largely due to an increase in the number of other-than-annual amendment filings submitted by investment advisers with retail clients and in the number of final filings submitted by exempt reporting advisers. The increase in cost burden is due to an increase in the estimated number of RIAs and ERAs, as well as the change to the new occupational wage methodology.
