Abstract:
This submission requests the revision and extension of a currently approved information collection. Minor edits were made to remove demographic information, clarify instructions, and simplify terminology on some of the forms associated with this collection. Headquartered at the NOAA Western Regional Center (WRC) in Seattle, Washington, the NOAA Diving Program (NDP) is managed under the U.S. Department of Commerce's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The NDP establishes training, policy, and operational guidelines for the entire NOAA diving community—which encompasses NOAA staff, contractors, volunteers, and other affiliated personnel conducting diving activities. The forms in this collection gather the information required to verify diver proficiency and ensure compliance for all NOAA-sanctioned diving operations.
