The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will use the Personnel Vetting Questionnaire to conduct personnel background investigations to determine suitability for Federal employment, fitness to perform work for or on behalf of the Federal government, eligibility to occupy a national security sensitive position, eligibility for access to classified information, and/or eligibility for a Federal credential for access to Federal facilities or space and Federal logical systems.
