OMB is proposing to amend the award term in the appendix to 2 CFR part 200 and several sections of 2 CFR part 180 to require that each recipient of a grant, cooperative agreement, or a subaward timely disclose, in writing, to the agency Office of the Inspector General (OIG), with a copy to the agency awarding official, any credible evidence that a principal has committed a violation of Federal criminal law involving fraud, conflict of interest, bribery, or gratuity violations found in title 18 of the United States Code; or a violation of the Civil False Claims Act (31 U.S.C. 3729 to 3733); or received any significant overpayment on the award.
