Title: Policy on Audits of RUS Borrowers
Abstract: The Agency will issue a proposed rule to incorporate the latest revisions to Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards Issued by GAO. Other changes include: clarifying the management letter to provide better guidance on subsidiary reporting; expand the definition of borrower to include broadband and wireless providers; add new definitions pertaining to the peer review program administered by the American Institute of Certified Accountants; increase the threshold for expenditures under OMB Circular A-133; clarify the peer review requirements; and clarify procedures for requesting a change in audit date.
