| Title: Implementation of the Multi-Family Housing U.S. Citizenship Requirements | |
|
Abstract:
Consistent with current Executive Orders and Administration directives related to citizenship, the Rural Housing Service (RHS) intends to publish a proposed rule to establish criteria for compliance with section 214 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1980 within 7 CFR 3560. Section 214 requires that individuals applying to receive federal assistance under certain programs must provide a U.S. citizenship declaration and verification of the individual’s citizenship status. Customer experience with the program will be enhanced by codifying processes in the regulation that have been run through funding announcements since the inception of the program. |
