| Title: Revisions to eLandings Regulations | |
| Abstract: NMFS implemented an interagency electronic reporting system with a data entry component, eLandings, for reporting Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands crab in March 2005 and groundfish in December 2008. Using the eLandings web-based application, processors report production, landings, and discard/disposition data. NMFS finds it necessary to make some improvements to the eLandings regulations. The proposed rule would add a requirement for a stationary floating processor (SFP) to enter at-sea operation type, port, and crab regional designation under specific conditions. In addition, the proposed rule would correct time limits for submitting some data, add a new definition, and revise some tables to part 679 to support eLandings and to correct errors. | |
