Title: Removal of Redundant Requirements for the American Fisheries Act 
Abstract: This rule would remove the requirement in 50 CFR part 679 for the American Fisheries Act (AFA) cooperatives participating in the Bering Sea pollock fishery to submit a preliminary annual report to the North Pacific Fishery Management Council. Regulations currently require the AFA cooperatives to submit a preliminary annual report to the Council by December 1 of each year, and a final annual report by February 1 of the following year. Since implementation of the requirement in 2002, the Council has found that the final annual report provides the Council with adequate information about the activities of the AFA cooperatives, so a preliminary report is no longer necessary.
