| Title: ●Amendment 20B to the Fishery Management Plan for the Coastal Migratory Pelagic Resources of the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Region | |
| Abstract: This rule would adjust trip limits and fishing seasons for zones and subzones of the Gulf migratory group king mackerel. It would also allow transit of vessels with king mackerel on board through areas closed to king mackerel fishing, and would divide the annual catch limit for Atlantic migratory group king and Spanish mackerel into zones. Futhermore, the action addresses the results of the most recent stock assessment for cobia, and divides the annual catch limit into zones. The need for the proposed action is to achieve optimum yield while ensuring regulations are fair and equitable, and fishery resources are utilized efficiently. | |
