This action would modify the annual catch limits for Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico (Gulf) migratory group Spanish mackerel. The amendment would also update the optimum yield and recreational annual catch target for Atlantic migratory group Spanish mackerel. These modifications are based on the outcome of stock assessments; review by the South Atlantic and Gulf Fishery Management Council's Scientific and Statistical Committees; and recommendations from the Scientific and Statistical Committees to the South Atlantic and Gulf Councils. The South Atlantic and Gulf Councils approved the recommendations from the Scientific and Statistical Committees.
