Title: International Fisheries; Pacific Tuna Fisheries; 2015-2016 Commercial Fishing Restrictions for Pacific Bluefin Tuna in the Eastern Pacific Ocean
Abstract: The National Marine Fisheries Service implemented a resolution made by the Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission that requires the United States to enforce a commercial Pacific bluefin tuna catch limit in the eastern Pacific Ocean of 600 metric tons (mt) for both years combined, not to exceed 425 mt in a single year. Furthermore, if the U.S. commercial Pacific bluefin tuna catches in the eastern Pacific Ocean exceed 300 mt in 2015, the U.S. catches may not exceed 200 mt in 2016.
