| Title: Framework Adjustment 4 to the Atlantic Herring Fishery Management Plan | |
| Abstract: Framework Adjustment 4 builds on measures implemented in Amendment 5 to the Atlantic Herring Fishery Management Plan (which went into effect March 17, 2014) and proposes management measures to further enhance catch monitoring and address slippage in the Atlantic herring fishery. If implemented, Framework 4 would establish the following measures for limited access herring vessels: a third-party catch verification program, a requirement that fish holds be empty of fish before leaving the dock, slippage consequence measures, and a requirement that slippage events be reported via the vessel monitoring system daily catch report. | |
