| Abstract: The MMPA requires that NMFS evaluate U.S. Fisheries annually and classify fisheries based on the extent of mortality or serious injury of marine mammals caused by each fishery. The List of Fisheries does not impose any regulatory changes on a fishery. The proposed rule makes minor changes to the classification of certain fisheries, the number of vessels/persons currently in each fishery, and other administrative changes for the 2017 List of Fisheries. | |
