Title: ●2018 Recreational Fishing Measures for Gulf of Maine Cod and Haddock
Abstract: The proposed action would set recreational measures (open season, possession limit, minimum size) for the recreational fishery for cod and haddock in the Gulf of Maine for the 2018 fishing year (May 1, 2018, through April 30, 2019). These are accountability measures to prevent the annual catch limits from being exceeded, as authorized by the regulations implementing the New England Fishery Management Council's Northeast Multispecies Fishery Management Plan. The measures are based on newly-available catch information and the fishing year 2018 quotas.
