Title: ●Pacific Island Fisheries; Amendments to the Fishery Ecosystem Plans for American Samoa, Hawaii, and the Marianas; Ecosystem Components
Abstract: The Western Pacific Fishery Management Council proposes to amend the Fishery Ecosystem Plans for American Samoa, Hawaii, and the Marianas. The Fishery Ecosystem Plans would reclassify certain fish stocks and stock complexes from management unit species to ecosystem component species, pursuant to NMFS advisory guidelines implementing National Standard 1 of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act. In implementing the Council's proposal, this proposed action would refine the fisheries under the Councils authority that require conservation and management.
