Title: ●Fisheries of the Northeastern United States; Atlantic Mackerel, Squid, and Butterfish Fishery Management Plan; 2024 Squid Specifications 
Abstract:

NMFS issued a final rule that implements the 2024-2026 specifications for some species covered by the Mackerel, Squid, and Butterfish Fishery Management Plan as recommended by the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council at its April and August 2023 meetings. This action sets the 2024 and 2025 specifications for Illex squid and the 2024-2026 longfin squid specifications, as well as reaffirm the 2024 chub mackerel and butterfish specifications. The Illex and longfin squid quotas are nearly identical to what is currently in place for the 2023 fishing year, with the only change being a slight increase to the longfin discard set-aside.
