| Title: ●Abbreviated Framework Amendment 4 to the Fishery Management Plan for the Snapper-Grouper Fishery of the South Atlantic Region (Abbreviated Framework 4) | |
|
Abstract:
The South Atlantic Council is developing this routine abbreviated framework action to revise the catch levels (acceptable biological catch and annual catch limits) for golden tilefish based on the Southeast Data, Assessment and Review 89 Update (2024) stock assessment. The assessment determined that the stock is not overfished and not undergoing overfishing. Abbreviated Framework 4 would base conservation and management measures on the best scientific information available. This action is consistent with the authority in section 303(b)(3)(A) of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act (Magnuson-Stevens Act). The National Marine Fisheries Service is issuing this proposed rule to implement Abbreviated Framework 4 pursuant to section 304(b) of the Magnuson-Stevens Act. |
