| Title: ●Framework Adjustment 17 to the Monkfish Fishery Management Plan | |
|
Abstract:
This action proposes to implement management measures included in Framework Adjustment 17 to the Monkfish Fishery Management Plan (FMP) that were jointly developed by the New England Fishery Management Council and Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council. This action was developed in response to new scientific information, pursuant to the rulemaking authorities under section 303(c) of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act. The proposed action would set annual specifications (e.g. the acceptable biological catch, the annual catch limit, the annual catch target, and the total allowable landings) for fishing years 2026 and project these specifications for fishing years 2027-2030. It would also make a minor administrative change to the regulations implementing the accountability measures (AM) found in the FMP. |
