| Title: ●Framework Adjustment 72 to the Northeast Multispecies Fishery Management Plan | |

Abstract:
The proposed action would implement management measures included in Framework Adjustment 72 to the Northeast Multispecies Fishery Management Plan that were developed by the New England Fishery Management Council in response to new scientific information, pursuant to the rulemaking authorities under section 303(c) and 305(d) of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act. This action would: (1) set 2026 total allowable catches for U.S./Canada shared resources on Georges Bank (GB); (2) set 2026-2027 specifications for GB cod and GB haddock; (3) set 2026-2028 specifications for GB yellowtail flounder, Cape Cod/Gulf of Maine yellowtail flounder, Southern New England/Mid-Atlantic (SNE/MA) yellowtail flounder, GB winter flounder, Gulf of Maine winter flounder, SNE/MA winter flounder, white hake, Acadian redfish, ocean pout, and Atlantic wolffish; and (4) establish process for Regional Administrator to adjust recreational management measures for all stocks of cod and haddock. |
