Title: ●Regulatory Amendment 37 to the Fishery Management Plan for the Snapper-Grouper Fishery of the South Atlantic Region (Regulatory Amendment 37)
Abstract:

The Council is developing this framework action to establish ACTs, revise AMs, revise the recreational bag limit, and establish a spawning closure for black sea bass based on the Southeast Data, Assessment and Review 76 Update (2025) stock assessment.  This action is consistent with the authority in section 303(b) of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act (Magnuson-Stevens Act).  The National Marine Fisheries Service is issuing this proposed rule to implement Regulatory Amendment 37 pursuant to section 304(b) of the Magnuson-Stevens Act. This rule would decrease South Atlantic black sea bass catch levels and would likely result in a reduction in commercial and recreational harvest.
