DOC/PTO RIN: 0651-AC38 Publication ID: Fall 2010
Title: Requirements for Amendments After Publication
Abstract: This action amends 37 CFR (Part 2) to mandate that a proposed amendment of a trademark application after its approval for publication be filed electronically, using the Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS). The rationale for requiring filing by TEAS stems from the time-sensitive nature of amendments to an application at this point in the process, and the need for the USPTO to receive and process such proposed amendments as quickly as possible.
