Abstract:

In accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974, as amended, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) gives notice of a proposed exemption for a new system of records entitled COMMERCE/USPTO-27, Trademark Administrative Proceedings Program Records. Specifically, the USPTO proposes to amend to its regulations to add this new system of records to its list of specific exemptions to the Privacy Act to protect law enforcement sensitive materials maintained in this system of records from disclosure.
