Title: Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS)
Abstract: The Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) implements the priorities and allocations authority of title I of the Defense Production Act of 1950, as amended, and the priorities authority of section 18 of the Selective Service Act of 1948. The DPAS was first published on July 30, 1984. On June 11, 1998, this rule was amended (63 FR 31918) to update, revise, or clarify certain provisions to its procedural requirements. These amendments have no costs associated with them; they reduce the regulatory and information reporting burden on industry; they make the DPAS more effective and efficient; they will result in cost savings for defense contractors; and they make the DPAS more compatible with current industry practices.
