Title: ●Updated Statements of Legal Authority for the Export Administration Regulations 
Abstract: This rule will update 25 authority citation paragraphs in the Export Administration Regulations (15 CFR parts 730-774) to cite a presidential notice extending the emergency declared in Executive Order 13222. The Export Administration Act of 1979, as amended (50 U.S.C. app. sections 2401-2420 (2000)), expired in August 2001. Since that time, parts 730-744 and 746-774 of the EAR have been continued in force pursuant to Executive Order 13222 of August 17, 2001, 3 CFR, 2001 Comp., p. 783 (2002) and the annual notices continuing the international emergency declared in that executive order. This rule updates the authority citation paragraphs of parts 730-744 and 746-774 to cite the most recent such notice.
