Title: Amendment to the Export Administration Regulations to Reclassify Targets for Production of Tritium and Related Development and Production Technology Initially Classified Under the 0Y521 Items Series 
Abstract:

In this rule, BIS adds targets for production of tritium and related development and production technology to a longer term classification on the Commerce Control List. This rule is in accordance with the procedures established in a final rule published on April 13, 2012. Specifically, this rule moves the specified target assemblies and components for the production of tritium from the temporary 0Y521 Items Series to longer term classifications under new Export Control Classification Number 1A231, and for the related "production" technology for 1A231 covered under ECCNs 1E001 and 1E201. These new classifications are the result of a U.S. Government proposal submitted and agreed to by members, (including the United States) of the relevant multilateral regime, the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) in June 2017.
