| Title: Foreign-Produced Direct Product Rules: Organization, Clarification, and Correction | |
|
Abstract:
The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), Department of Commerce, is moving and reorganizing the provisions of the foreign-produced direct product (FPDP) rules, which appear in two different parts of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), to the part that explains what is subject to the EAR. These revisions are necessary to assist readers to navigate the EAR and apply the FPDP rules more easily. This rule also makes one correction to the FPDP rules pertaining to the term U.S.-origin technology and software. |
