Title: National Environmental Policy Act Implementing Procedures; Proposed Department of the Air Force (DAF)'s Environmental Impact Analysis Process (EIAP)
Abstract:

The Department of the Air Force is rescinding its National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) regulations at 32 CFR Part 989 in accordance with Council on Environmental Quality guidance.  The Air Force is taking this action because the Council on Environmental Quality's (CEQ) NEPA regulations, which the Air Force’s regulations were intended to supplement, no longer provide a valid foundation for the Air Force’s regulations.  The authority under which the CEQ's regulations were promulgated, Executive Order 11991, has been repealed by Executive Order 14154 (90 Fed. Reg. 8353, Jan. 29, 2025).  As a result, the CEQ NEPA regulations were repealed effective April 11, 2025 (90 Fed. Reg. 10610, Feb. 25, 2025).
