The regulation at 33 CFR 274 assigned responsibilities and prescribed procedures concerning the use of chemicals in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' (Corps') pest control program at civil works projects. This final rule action was largely administrative in nature, as it removed unnecessary and outdated CFR text, which provides clarity and reduces confusion to the public. The same content can be found in the Corps’ publication of ER 1130-2-540. The rule did not place a burden on the public, therefore its repeal did not provide a burden reduction or cost savings.
