Title: Reporting of Government Property Lost, Stolen, Damaged, or Destroyed (DFARS Case 2008-D049) 
Abstract: This rule amended the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to address requirements for DoD contractors to report any loss, theft, damage, or destruction of Government property using the Defense Contract Management Agency eTools application. The rule provided a clause at DFARS 252.245-7002, Reporting Loss of Government Property, that requires DoD contractors to report the loss, theft, damage, and destruction of Government property to the DCMA eTools application. The rule also eliminated unnecessarily duplicative language in clause 252.245-7002, Reporting Loss of Government Property, and made other editorial changes The rule is expected to have a positive or beneficial impact on small entities by making available a Government-provided software application to use for reporting purposes. Any start-up costs are expected to be minimal.
