Title: ●Notification of Subcontractor Compliance (DFARS Case 2011-D007) 
Abstract: This rule removes the requirement for a contractor to provide notification at the request of the administrative contracting officer of any substitutions of firms that are not small business firms for the small business firms specifically identified in the subcontracting plan because it duplicates information provided to the Electronic Subcontracting Reporting System. DoD contractors are required to submit information on subcontracting plan compliance bi-annually via the Electronic Subcontracting Reporting System (eSRS) in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clause 52.219-9 and DFARS clause 252.219-7003(h). As such, the compliance notification requirement at DFARS 219-704(2) and DFARS clause 252.219-7003(g) is a duplication of effort on the part of the contractor. This rule therefore proposes deletion of the language at DFARS 219.704(2) and DFARS 252.219-7003(g) in its entirety. No significant economic impact is anticipated because the reporting requirement (1) is not a significant burden, and (2) only applies to prime contractors with contracts that exceed $650,000 ($1.5 million for construction).
