Title: ●Duty-Free Entry Threshold (DFARS Case 2015-D036)
Abstract:

DoD is proposing to amend the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement to increase the threshold for duty-free entry on foreign supplies that are not from the qualifying countries. The current threshold of $200 for duty-free entry on non-qualifying country supplies and ineligible foreign supplies was established in April 2003, based on the estimated cost to process a duty-free entry certificate at the time. DoD is proposing to make an upward adjustment of the threshold, from $200 to $300, based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI). DoD does not expect this rule to have a significant economic impact on a substantial number of small entities.
