Title: Accountability for Department of Defense Contractors Using Military Working Dogs (DFARS Case 2023-D004) 
Abstract:

DoD is proposing to amend the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement to implement section 382(e) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023, which requires the Secretary of Defense to issue regulations that prohibit the abandonment of contracted working dogs used in support of a military operation outside of the continental United States.
