Title: DoD Investigative and Adjudicative Guidance for Issuing the Common Access Card (CAC) 
Abstract:

This part establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and prescribes procedures for the DoD investigative and adjudicative guidance for issuing the Common Access Card (CAC). The CAC serves as the DoD personal identity verification (PIV) credential. The revisions to this rule will be reported in future status updates as part of DoD's retrospective plan under Executive Order 13563, completed in August 2011.
