View Rule

This rule implements the responsibilities of the Secretary of Defense for administering the National Security Education Program (NSEP); updates DoD policy, assigns responsibilities, and prescribes procedures and requirements for administering and executing the NSEP service agreement; explains the responsibility of the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (USD [P&R]) for policy and funding oversight for NSEP and for administrative and logistical support to NSEP; modifies requirements related to the service agreement; assigns administrative responsibility of the National Language Service Corps (NLSC); and assigns oversight of NSEP and the NLSC to the Defense Language and National Security Education Office (DLNSEO).
