Title: Eligibility Requirements for Minor Dependents to Attend DoD Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS)  
Abstract:

This rule establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and updates the organization, membership, and functions for enrollment in arrangements operated by or entered into by the Department of Defense. Minor dependents of active-duty military members and full-time civilian DoD employees residing in a permanent living quarters for any part of the school year on a military installation served by a DoD Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS) arrangement are eligible for tuition-free education. This rule describes the procedures and eligibility requirements for minor dependents who are eligible for a DDESS arrangement. Childhood education is essential, and DoD is determined to provide tuition-free education for minor dependents on military bases.
