Abstract:
This rule establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and prescribes procedures for DoD to provide liaison for defense support of civil authorities (DSCA), also known as civil support. This includes facilitating DSCA through participation in integrated Federal and U.S. Governmental incident and civil emergency response, deliberate events (e.g., National Special Security Events (NSSEs), Special Event Assessment Rating (SEAR) events), and supporting preparedness activities. This rule also provides guidance for the use of DSCA liaison personnel. |
