Abstract:

This rule provides DoD policy governing acceptance of process served on the Secretary of Defense and the Secretaries of the Military Departments. Part 257 will be revised to address any Military Service-specific procedures.  Once this revision is complete, the individual regulations for each of the Military Departments will be repealed.
