Abstract:
This rulemaking will address (1) Advertising, promotion, and marketing of tobacco products, and (2) sale and distribution of tobacco products involving Internet and mail-order transactions, and other transactions that involve a means "other than a direct, face-to-face exchange between a retailer and a consumer." Examples of these types of transactions include: (a) Mail-order-e.g., a print ad in a magazine that includes a phone number and/or web address for ordering a tobacco product; and (b) Internet-e.g., standard websites, such as an official website of cigarette brand or company/firm websites. |
